Retreat Centers
Temple of the Moon: Sanctuary of Feminine Energy
The Temple of the Moon (or Amaru Mach’ay) is a deeply mystical pre-Inca ceremonial center, conveniently located just 30 minutes from the historic center of Cusco. This natural sanctuary, carved into the living rock, is revered by Andean Paqos as a potent power point where feminine energy, intuition, and fertility flow with intensity, making it the perfect location for ancestral ceremonies, especially those dedicated to Mama Killa (the Moon Goddess). Its unique atmosphere facilitates rituals of cleansing and renewal, as its rock formations channel telluric energies, allowing meditation within its natural chambers to offer a palpable connection with cosmic cycles and ancestral wisdom, creating a sacred environment where you can listen to your inner voice and align your intentions with the rhythm of Mother Earth.
Killarumiyuq: Sacred Site of the Goddess of Fertility
The sacred site of Killarumiyuq, located just over an hour from Cusco, is where ancient Andean cultures paid tribute to the Moon Goddess (Mama Killa). This powerful energetic center, renowned for its intricate lunar carvings and ceremonial terraces, offers a unique opportunity to connect with the feminine energy, cosmic balance, and ancestral wisdom. Guided by Q’ero spiritual masters, you will participate in a traditional Andean ceremony, such as the Pago a la Tierra (Payment to the Earth) or a special Lunar Ritual, depending on the current moon cycle. These ceremonies are designed to harmonize your energy, open your heart, and strengthen your connection with nature and spirit. This experience is specifically designed for those seeking spiritual renewal, cultural immersion, and a profound understanding of the Andean worldview and its cosmic balance.
Ñaupa Iglesia – Choquequilla: Ancient Andean Sanctuary
Ñaupa Iglesia, also known as Choquequilla, is an ancient Andean ceremonial center located just 1 hour and 20 minutes from the city of Cusco. This enigmatic site is considered one of the most mystical and energetic places in the Sacred Valley, where Inca and pre-Inca traditions converge with a profound ancestral spirituality. The name “Ñaupa” originates from Quechua, meaning “ancient” or “from the past,” while “Iglesia” (Church) refers to how colonizers interpreted this sacred sanctuary. Key features of the site include: A Doorway Carved into the Rock, believed to have been an interdimensional or ceremonial portal, used by Andean wise ones to connect with the spiritual world; Niches and Altars, dedicated to lunar deities, and possibly to the Pachamama (Mother Earth); and a Natural Environment charged with peace, mystery, and energy, making it ideal for meditation, spiritual connection, and ancestral rituals. Ñaupa Iglesia is a key destination for those seeking to understand the Andean cosmovision and experience a deep connection with the feminine energies of the universe. It is a location frequently visited by spiritual guides (paqos) of the Q’ero Nation to perform healing ceremonies and lunar meditations.
Pachatusan: Sacred Apu – The Pillar of the World
Pachatusan, whose name in Quechua means “The One Who Holds the World,” is one of the most sacred and revered mountains in the Andean spiritual tradition. Located 1 hour and 20 minutes from the historic center of Cusco city, it rises majestically in the eastern part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, offering breathtaking views of ancient sites like Tipón and the Pisac valley. According to the Andean cosmovision, Pachatusan is not just a mountain, but a living spirit, a powerful Apu (Mountain Deity). This protector embodies wisdom, balance, and the connection between the physical world and the spiritual universe. It is revered as one of the principal spiritual guardians of Cusco and its surrounding territories. On its slopes, sacred ceremonies are performed, led by the paqos (spiritual guides) of the Q’ero Nation, who represent the living spiritual heritage of the Andes. These rituals, especially those dedicated to the masculine energy (Hanac Pacha or Upper World), seek to re-establish equilibrium between the physical
