Booking, Payment, and Cancellation Policies

At Andean Spirit, we believe that trust and transparency are essential for planning a worry-free journey. That’s why we clearly and thoroughly share our booking, payment, and cancellation policies, ensuring every traveler can make informed decisions and fully enjoy their experience in Peru with complete peace of mind.

1. Booking Policy

  • General Advance Booking: For itineraries that include Machu Picchu, transportation, accommodation, and other logistical services, we recommend booking a minimum of 45 days in advance to secure availability.
  • Specific Services: Reservations for hikes and ceremonial practices that do NOT include a visit to Machu Picchu can be made with 7 days notice.
  • Acceptance: Reservations are accepted solely in writing (via WhatsApp or email) or directly through our official website.

2. Payment Policy

  • Confirmation: Your reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of a minimum deposit of 50% of the total amount per person.
  • Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be paid upon your arrival in the city of Cusco, before the service begins.
  • Late Bookings: Reservations made with short notice are subject to availability and specific conditions to be informed by our team of advisors.
  • Security: All credit and debit card payments processed through our platform are completely secure.
  • Service Fees: Online payments may be subject to additional bank fees or commissions, depending on the issuing or receiving bank.

3. Payment Methods

  • Bank Transfer: Interbank and Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP).
  • Western Union: Send U.S. Dollars by completing the “Send Money” form to the legal representative of Andean Spirit.
  • PayPal: Transfers to the legal representative of Andean Spirit.
  • Online Payment (IziPay): Available through our official website using the reservation form.

4. Rates

  • All rates are expressed in U.S. Dollars (USD) and are per person.
  • Rates are subject to change without prior notice, except for confirmed reservations with payment already received, in which case the agreed-upon price will be honored.

Cancellations and Penalties

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may occur (weather, flight delays, strikes, etc.). However, the majority of the services we provide (train tickets, Machu Picchu entrance fees, permits, hotels) ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

For this reason, our cancellation policy is governed by the following retention schedule on the total tour amount:

Date Change Request

  • Minimum Notice: The request for a date change must be submitted in writing a minimum of 30 days prior to the original tour start date.
  • Subject to Availability: Changes are subject to the availability of our masters/healers, transportation logistics, accommodation, and, crucially, Machu Picchu access and train tickets.

No-show and Disclaimer

  • No-show: In the event that the traveler does not show up at the start of the tour (No-show), including flight delays or cancellations, 100% of the total amount will be retained.
  • Disclaimer: Andean Spirit is not responsible for loss or damage to luggage, accidents, unforeseen expenses, unavoidable delays, or services provided by third parties.
  • Travel Insurance: If requested, we can issue a certificate to assist the traveler in filing a potential refund claim with their insurance company.

Health Aspects and Discretion

  • Health Information: The traveler is obliged to notify the agency of any medical, mental, or emotional condition that may affect their participation in the ceremonies.
  • Exclusion: Andean Spirit and the spiritual masters reserve the right to deny participation in any ceremony if the traveler’s physical or mental state poses a risk to their well-being or that of the group. In this case, no refund will apply for the ceremony not taken.

Important Note (Voluntary Withdrawal)

If the traveler voluntarily leaves the tour for any reason, any additional expenses incurred will be the traveler’s responsibility, and no refund will be provided.
