Wisdom of the Q'eros Community
Introduction
Ausangate is a mountain in the Vilcanota mountain range, home to Cusco’s highest snow-capped peak (6,868 masl). It’s considered the tutelary Apu (mountain deity) of the Tahuantinsuyo (the Incan Empire) and the guardian of all evolutions, known as Apu Ausangate.

It is a classic trek that allows you to connect with nature through personal healing with Incan techniques and deep reflection. You’ll be immersed in the traditions, customs, gastronomy, and hospitality of the Andean communities of Cusco, Peru.
Wisdom of the Q’eros Community
Delve into ancient wisdom and knowledge alongside the Andean priests of the Q’eros Community. The people of this community are considered the last Incan ayllu (community) and have been declared part of Peru’s cultural heritage. They preserve their ancestral customs, reflected in their way of life, including their spiritual techniques, traditional agriculture, and textile work.
Andean rituals and their interrelation with Pachamama (Mother Earth) and the Apus (mountain deities) on pilgrimages to sacred mountains like Ausangate are a part of the daily practice of the Q’eros Community.
