Itinerary

Day 1 Cusco – Ninamarca - Paucartambo – Q’ero.

6:30 a.m. – Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco
We begin our journey toward the Q’ero community, known as the last Inka Ayllu. Along the way, we’ll enjoy spectacular landscapes of the Andean mountain range, passing through valleys, high passes, and sacred peaks.

Our first stop will be at the archaeological site of Ninamarca, where we’ll observe ancient pre-Inka funerary towers (chullpas). We’ll then continue to the picturesque town of Paucartambo, famous for its folkloric traditions and well-preserved colonial architecture.

After a short rest and an opportunity to buy any last essentials, we’ll continue our journey toward the Q’ero village of Chua Chua, arriving around 2:00 p.m. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a traditional Andean lunch prepared by our chef with fresh local ingredients.

In the afternoon, we’ll gather for an introductory talk about the spiritual meaning and purpose of the ceremonies we’ll experience during our stay. We’ll then participate in a welcoming and gratitude ceremony led by a Q’ero Paqo (spiritual guide) — a sacred ritual to open the journey with intention and connection.

The day concludes with a traditional dinner, followed by rest in designated tents or local family homes, under the starry Andean sky.

Day 2 Q’ero – Huamalipa – Cusco.

A special day of hiking and deep connection with nature awaits us.
At 6:00 a.m., we’ll begin the morning with hot water and coca tea, followed by a light, energizing breakfast made with local ingredients to prepare us for the day ahead.

We’ll then begin our trek toward Apu Huamanlipa, the most sacred mountain for the local Q’ero people. This 2 to 3-hour hike offers breathtaking scenery, including a vibrant turquoise lagoon fed by glacial melt from the Huamanlipa snow-capped peak, all surrounded by majestic highland landscapes. At the summit, we’ll take part in a ceremony of healing and connection with nature, guided by a Q’ero Paqo (spiritual master), to receive the powerful energies of Apu Huamanlipa.

After this transformative experience, we will return to Chua Chua, where a warm traditional lunch will be waiting for us. Later, we’ll share a meaningful moment with members of the community — a space for cultural exchange, gratitude, and mutual learning.

In the afternoon, we will board our private transportation back to Cusco, arriving at your hotel at approximately 9:30 p.m., bringing this powerful journey to a close.
