DAY 1
Waqrapukara Itinerary
The Waqrapukara Tour begins with a hotel pick-up between 4:00 and 4:30. We will then drive for 2 hours in a tourist transport to the city of Sangarará, making a stop in Cusipata for breakfast along the way.
Once we arrive in Sangarará, we will take a 30-minute detour along a zigzagging dirt road to Punta Carretera to prepare for our 2-hour hike to Waqrapukara. The hike is 8 kilometers long and is downhill.
At Waqrapukara, the guide will provide an overview of the site’s importance before you have time to explore and take pictures. Afterwards, we will enjoy a rural lunch before returning to Punta Carretera and our transport back to Cusco, where we are expected to arrive at 7:00 p.m.
